LAN: Michigan's Small Capital City Airport.

Lansing Michigan is the capital city of Michigan yet it has quite a small airport.

KLAN is located 3 miles Northwest of Downtown Lansing. It has 4 airlines serving the airport, one of them being a seasonal service airline.

The airport has 9 gates with 6 jetways. Gates 1-9. 4-9 are on the upper level and 1-3 are on the lower level.

The airport had nearly 346,000 travelers travel through in 2018.

TSA lines are typically short through a single security checkpoint. Arriving close to your departure time is typically ok as well.

Airlines and Destinations Served:

American Airlines/ Eagle:

Chicago/O'Hare, Washington-Reagan

Delta Airlines/Connection: Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul

Swift Air: Seasonal Charter: Cancun, Montego Bay, Punta Cana

United Airlines/Express: Chicago/O'Hare

The airport has a customs unit to handle the small number of seasonal charter flights. Most are operated by charter carrier Swift Air.

Aircraft are typically small regional Embraer and CRJ's. Swift Air and other charter carries do bring in larger Boeing 737's however.

Food Options and Shopping:

There is only a small snack bar with a few magnets and t-shirts for sale is located in the middle of the terminal post-security.

A small lounge for quieter space is available to travelers, too.

We hope this airport guide helps you to fly into and put of Capitol Region airport a little easier.
