PBI: A Guide To One of The Sunshine States Most Premier Airports

West Palm Beach International Airport is considered one of Florida's best airports for customer service, amenities, and atmosphere. Here is a guide on how to have the best experience while traveling through PBI.

In 2017 PBI surpassed 6.3 million travelers, a record amount for the airport. The airport has 2 main concourses, concourse B and concourse C, as well as a smaller no gate concourse A.

West Palm rarely has much airport traffic and little to no wait at it's 2 TSA checkpoints. The checkpoints are located at the east and west ends of the terminals. One for concourses A and B, another for concourse C. The checkpoints both are open from 4:30 am until the last flight's departures/arrives.

Concourse A is the smaller less used concourse. It has 3 gates with no airbridge and is at ground level. Only Silver Airways with their Saab 340's, Bahamas air with their ATR 72's and Southern Airways Express with their Cessna Caravans use these gates.

=BahamasAir flies nonstop to Marsh Harbour.

-Silver Airways fly's nonstop to Key West, Marsh Harbour, Nassau, South Bimini,

-Southern Airways Express to Key West and Tampa

Concourse B is one of the two main concourses at PBI. It has 13 gates (B1-B13) and has amenities such as charging ports in the waiting areas, a marketplace, convenient shops, fast food restaurant, and a sit-down restaurant as well. Air Canada, American Airlines,

Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, and United Airlines use this concourse.

-Air Canada flies nonstop to Montreal-Trudeau and Toronto-Pearson.

-Allegiant Air is beginning service to Asheville (begins November 25, 2019), Charlotte-Concord (begins November 15, 2019), Cincinnati (begins November 25, 2019), Indianapolis (begins November 21, 2019), Knoxville (begins November 15, 2019),  and Pittsburgh (begins November 14, 2019)

-American Airlines flies nonstop to Charlotte, Chicago-O'Hare, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Philadelphia, and Washington-Regan. With seasonal service to New York-LaGuardia also.

-United Airlines flies nonstop to Chicago-O'Hare, Houston-Intercontinental, and Newark.

Concourse C is PBI's largest concourse with 15 gates (C1-16, no C13) it also holds. a variety of amenities like concourse B does, such as shops, power outlets attached to the waiting area seats, sit down and fast-food restaurants, and even a full bar at the end of the concourse. Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, jetBlue Airways,  Spirit Airlines, and WestJet

Airlines serve concourse C.

-Delta Airlines flies nonstop to Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, New York-JFK, and New York-LaGuardia. With additional seasonal service to Minneapolis/St. Paul airport.

-Frontier Airlines flies nonstop daily to Long Island/Islip, Raleigh/Durham, Trenton (NJ) and seasonally to Cleveland, Columbus, Newark (Beginning December 10th, 2019), Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis.

Overall West Palm Beach International airport is one of Florida's best airports, in my opinion, it is the best especially compared to SoFlo's other 2 airports Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. I hope this travel guide helps you to have the best PBI experience possible!
